At Sun Horse Ranch, she specializes in helping children develop balance, coordination, and communication through safe, structured interaction with horses. Her approach focuses on building trust, leadership, and independence–meeting each child at their individual level.

As a PATH Certified  Therapeutic Riding Instructor, Julia plays a key role in supporting both mounted and dismounted activities, ensuring that every session is purposeful, safe, and developmentally appropriate.

Julia is known for her calm, structured approach that helps even hesitant riders feel secure and successful.

Lauren brings over 20 years of experience as a rider and trainer to her work guiding children through equine-assisted activities.

At Sun Horse Ranch, she specializes in supporting emotional regulation, focus, and confidence through  structured  horse–human interaction. Her sessions are designed to help children understand pressure, timing, and communication in a safe, responsive environment.

By combining horsemanship with behavioral awareness, Lauren helps children build trust, improve self-control, and develop meaningful connections–both with the horse and within themselves.

Lauren is especially effective in working with children who need clear structure, consistency, and calm guidance.

Isabella Burwell is the founder of Sun Horse Ranch, an equine-assisted service and learning center in Greenville, South Carolina, focused on supporting children through structured horse-based interaction.

With a background in the medical field and over 20 years experience working with horses, Isabella developed a program that combines horsemanship, movement, and child-centered learning. Her work emphasizes regulation, communication, and confidence through carefully guided, developmentally appropriate activities.

She is the creator of ET-BT® ( Equine-Assisted Biomechanics Technique) and lead the development of innovative programs such as Connect&Lead® and EquiRitmo®, all designed to bridge physical, emotional, and cognitive growth through the horse-human connection.

At Sun Horse Ranch, Isabell’s approach  prioritizes safety, structure, and meaningful engagement–creating an environment where children  build trust, develop skills, and experience success at their own pace.
